Join one of our Led Rides during the World Championships

Inspired by the World Championships and want to get on a bike yourself, but not sure where to start?

Well good news – we have 29 completely free Led Rides taking place during the Championships all across the country. So from Dumfries to Perth, and Glasgow to Glentress, there is something almost every single day.

Come and join us on a led ride in celebration of the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships at competition locations across Scotland. Our ride leaders know all the best local routes, café stops and views, and invite you to join them exploring the local area on two wheels, or three, or four … all pedal powered cycles and e-bikes welcome! Rides are suitable for new and returning cyclists, will go at an easy pace and no one gets left behind.

Starting in Glasgow on the first day of the Championships, Guided Rides leader Matt and Breeze Champion Tracy, will take you on a tour of the north of Glasgow, including passing through Glasgow Green, the site of the BMX  freestyle, BMX flatland and Trials competition events. As the main location for the Championships, we have rides happening in Glasgow on every day from the 3rd to the 12th, when our ride leaders will take the day off to watch the Elite Women’s (and U23 Women) Road Race.

On Friday 4th August we have three rides listed, including this one in Perth led by Breeze Champions Kirsteen and Fern, absorbing the atmosphere of the Gran Fondo event taking place on this date.

The Men’s Elite Road Race departs from Edinburgh on Sunday 6th, and we have three rides across the day, providing a taste of what Edinburgh has to offer the recreational cyclist. The Mountain Bike Cross Country Marathon takes place on the same date in Glentress Forest, and we have two rides starting in nearby Peebles, one led by Beth departing at 10am, the other led by Ewan, departing at 2pm.

On Wednesday 9th explore the beauty and history in and around Stirling, finishing in time to catch the action of the Men’s U23 Individual Time Trial. More opportunities to ride in Stirling are on the 10th and 11th August.

Finally, in Dumfries, home of the Para-cycling Road events, we have eight rides taking place from 9th to 12th August, all led by our friendly team of Breeze Champions based in the area.
