We are looking for a small group of young coaches to take on a learning and development journey that will culminate in unique experiences supporting the Team Scotland at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
While we are welcoming applications from all young coaches, across all cycling disciplines, we particularly want to hear from young female coaches & young coaches with an interest in track cycling.
The programme will offer unique in-person development sessions and industry leading expert facilitated online workshops that will delve into the art and science of great coaching. We will aim to create a community of young coaches who connect with, challenge & support each other on their coaching journey.
We are asking that coaches commit to the journey and coaches will be expected to make all efforts to attend 4 in person half-day sessions & 4 online workshops across the period.
In return for your commitment to the programme Scottish Cycling will offer a development package worth around £1,000 per person including;
- Development opportunities within the programme free of charge.
- A funded British Cycling coach education qualification course in a discipline of your choice (*subject to meeting course pre-requisites)
- The opportunity to shadow Scottish Cycling performance programme activity.
- Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games experiences.
To register your interest in the programme please complete the very short online form before Monday 6th October 2025. We can’t wait to hear from you!
