Save the Date: She Pedals Scotland 2026

After a hugely successful launch in 2025, She Pedals Scotland will return in 2026 – bigger, bolder, and shining an even brighter light on women’s and girls’ cycling.

The aim remains simple: to celebrate the joy of riding a bike and to encourage more women and girls to get involved in this wonderful sport.

At last night’s inaugural She Pedals Scotland Zwift ride, the team announced that next year’s event will run from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st June 2026. Across that weekend, women and girls from all over Scotland will be encouraged to ride – on any type of bike, for any distance, and for any purpose.

Learning from this year’s stormy weather, the organisers have extended the window from one day to three, giving greater flexibility for those balancing family, work, or other commitments. In 2025, more than 600 riders registered to take part, with clubs, Breeze Champions, and cycle circuits hosting special events, alongside countless solo and social rides. The result was a truly inclusive campaign that lowered barriers and welcomed new participants into cycling.

Social media lit up with photos, stories, and celebrations – from road rides in Elgin to the FNY Hunt in the Borders – demonstrating the variety of ways women and girls chose to get involved. Feedback highlighted the camaraderie, fun, and empowerment that defined the weekend, with one participant sharing: “The rain dampened our clothes but not our spirits.” Others spoke of personal milestones, from returning to cycling post-partum to riding in memory of loved ones.

She Pedals Scotland is more than an event – it’s a movement: building confidence, connection, and community through cycling.

At Scottish Cycling, we are proud supporters of this initiative, and we can’t wait to see even more women and girls take part in 2026. Registration details will follow soon, but for now – save the date: Friday 19th to Sunday 21st June 2026.
