Conference and AGM
For those attending the daytime conference, we hope you are looking forward to engaging with people from all corners of the cycling landscape, hearing about some of the great activity that has been taking place in the last year, and joining in various discussions aimed at enhancing our sport.
With arrival from 9am, for teas and coffees, the conference runs from 9.30am until 4.30pm, the full conference programme here
This year we also have a small expo area as part of our conference setup. After what we expect to be a fascinating keynote talk, Jenny Graham will be signing and selling copies of her book, which would make the perfect Christmas present.
We’ll also have Pedal Power joining us with some cool bikes on display and merch for sale, whilst Frog Bikes will also have an information stand. Last but not least we’ll have Diane Cooper from Digby Brown, an avid cyclist herself, on hand to answer any questions you may have on their 5* insurance that comes as part of your British Cycling membership.
Hopefully you have chosen your workshop sessions, and let us know if you have any dietary requirements, but if not, or if you have any questions, please contact [email protected]
As you will see from the programme above, our AGM will take place during the middle of the conference, where we’ll reflect on a memorable year and take care of the usual business matters. You can find the information here.
Awards
Building on an amazing night at Hampden 12 months ago, we’re delighted to be welcoming 200 of you to don your posh frocks and kilts and celebrate 2023, which has been one hell of a year for cycling!
Check out our shortlist here.
The night kicks off at 6.30pm with our Champions Drinks reception in the Ferntower Suite, where we’ll be recognising all of our national champions, before we move through into the main hall for dinner and the presentation of our nine awards to some very worthy winners.
As we did last year, we’ll be holding a raffle with all money raised going to the Braveheart Cycling Fund – more on that on the night. Top prize this year is a £3000 voucher towards a bike courtesy of our partners Pedal Power – not bad ey!
Finally, make sure you’ve got your dancing shoes with you, as we’ll be finishing off with a ceilidh band – dancing not compulsory but certainly encouraged!
