2025 Scottish Cycling Awards Nominations Open

With another record-breaking summer of cycling drawing to a close, Scottish Cycling is opening up nominations for its 2025 Awards.

Returning to the Inchyra Grange in Polmont, the Awards Ceremony will take place on Saturday 15th November, following on from the Scottish Cycling Conference & AGM, which will take place during the day.

2024 saw the likes of Oscar Onley, Jenny Holl and Erin Boothman collect top honours, that trio going on to have equally impressive years in 2025. In a close run contest, Royal Albert & the Clydesdale Colts scooped the Club of the Year Award, whilst the irrepressible Lorna Breetzke was deservedly crowned Volunteer of the Year.

So, who will follow in their footsteps in 2025? That’s largely down to the Scottish Cycling community, who can nominate for the next three weeks across the 11 available categories.

New for 2025 is a Youth Rider of the Year award, which will recognise the increasing success of our Under 16 riders. We have also renamed our Community Partner of the Year award to the Inspiring Participation Award, with a view to seeing a more diverse range of nominations, whilst our coaching awards have also received a tweak; the two categories are now Club Coach of the Year and Young Coach (14-25) of the Year.

So, if you know someone who deserves some recognition, nominate them today!

2024 saw just shy of 250 people gathered at the Inchyra Grange hotel for a night of celebrations, which started with a Champions’ Drinks Reception, to recognise all of our Scottish Champions from the past 12 months. This was followed by dinner and our awards ceremony, before a raffle that raised over £2000 for the Scottish Cycling Foundation, before our now customary ceilidh to round out the night.
