Gravity Events in 2024

2024 is set to be a massive year for gravity racing, with the UCI Downhill World Cup series returning to Scotland, an inaugural British Enduro Championships and a packed calendar of domestic events.

UCI World Cup

Just nine months after some quite incredible performances at the UCI Cycling World Championships, Fort William’s Aonach Mor will once again play host to the UCI Mountain Bike World Series on the weekend of the Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th May.

The opening round of the Downhill World Cup will see the best riders from across the globe gather at the Fort for what will be a fantastic weekend of racing.

Scottish Downhill Association Series

Scotland’s domestic downhill series continues to go from strength to strength, with five rounds of the Scottish Downhill Association (SDA) Series set to take place this summer.

Round One at in April at Ae Forest is also doubles up as the Scottish National Championships. Mikayla Parton and William Brodie claimed Elite honours here in 2023.

Rounds Two and Four of the Series, at Fort William and Glencoe will also double-up as rounds of the British Downhill Series, whilst sandwiched between the two Highland rounds is a visit to Glenshee at the end of June. The series will climax in the Tweed Valley, with Innerleithen hosting round five on the 7th and 8th of September.

Mini-DH

Mini Downhill is a great first step into Downhill racing for Youth riders, racing taking place on shorter more accessible courses for riders to hone their skills.

There are several Mini-DH events coming this year, in the tun up to the UCI World Cup at Fort William, find out more about the Mini-DH at the Fort here.

Enduro Championships

We’re pleased to share that 2024 will see the first British Enduro Championships take place, and what’s more it’s being held in Scotland at Ae Forest, in Dumfries and Galloway, this August.

It will be the first time that British Cycling has awarded national champion’s jerseys in the discipline, and with six stages for riders to tackle, it is set to be an epic weekend of racing in Dumfries.

British Series and Championships

There are five rounds of the British National Downhill Series taking place this summer, with the two aforementioned in Scotland, as well as three rounds in Wales.

The British Championships will be held at Rhyd y Felin in Wales in July.
