Are you a volunteer with experience you would like to share more widely to help develop your sport?
Are you an official of any level with ideas on how we can support yourself and others through the British Cycling commissaire pathway?
This could be the role for you!
Our commission groups meet online three to four times a year, for 2 hours, to advise us on how we can best support the cycling community to develop and grow the sport in Scotland. We aim to have as broad a representation as possible on these groups, to ensure perspectives from all backgrounds are heard and to maximise inter-discipline learning opportunities.
At this time, we are looking for applicants with an interest and experience in the following areas:
Commissaire Commission
Officials at any point in their commissaire journey who feel strongly about the support and development of officials in Scotland, and want to contribute to growing the pool of officials.
Sport Commission
Riders and volunteers with an interest in supporting Scottish Cycling in the delivery of the Events Strategy, helping prioritise workstreams and offering feedback on specific projects.
In particular, we are looking for people with a background in:
- Any off-road discipline
- Youth competition
- North East Scotland
- South West Scotland
Technical Commission
Anyone with an interest in changing the regulations that govern the Scottish National Championships and Records, as well as feeding into suggestions for the British Cycling technical regulations.
If you would be interested in becoming part of one of these groups, or would like an initial chat to find out more, please email [email protected] with the subject Commissaire, Sport or Technical Commission.
