Presenter and commentator for Eurosport’s cycling coverage, as well as author and newspaper columnist, Rebecca brings a wealth of cycling knowledge to proceedings.
Charlton is excited to host the evening’s festivities, as she said:
“I’m really looking forward to heading back to Scotland next month to host the Scottish Cycling Awards and celebrating the amazing world class performances on the bike, but also those people behind the scenes who make the cycling community so special.
“It’s been an amazing couple of years for Scottish Cycling, with the World Championships last year seen by people all around the world, and just this week we’ve heard the news of the Commonwealth Games going back to Glasgow, which is something else to look forward to!”
The full list of shortlisted nominees was announced earlier this week, and you can find out more about all 30 nominees here.
Taking place on Saturday 16th November 2024, our annual day of learning and celebration will this year take place at the Inchyra Grange Hotel and Spa, just outside Falkirk.
As we have done at the last two editions, we will combine our conference, awards and annual general meeting (AGM), making the day a key focal point in the Scottish Cycling calendar. Nine awards will be given to individuals, clubs and community groups that champion the very best of cycle sport in Scotland across 2024.
Ranging from the performances of elite athletes at the Olympic and Paralympic Games this summer, to sessions from clubs, community groups and volunteers across Scotland, the individual awards cover all facets of cycling in Scotland.
The evening’s award ceremony will start with our Champions Drinks Reception at 6.30pm, before a three-course meal, the presentation of awards, and some dancing to round out proceedings.
