We’re now pleased to announce a further opportunity for clubs to apply for this funding, building on the great work already underway at the seven clubs who successfully applied in the first round:
- Movement Park – Biker Girls: a comprehensive cycling programme for girls in P5–7
- West Highland Wheelers – Girls’/women’s intro and intermediate pump track sessions
- Ae Bike Association – Women and Girls: Ride with your Mates Bike & Blether sessions
- Moray Firth Cycling Club – Women’s cycling and bike maintenance sessions
- Hervelo Cycling – Women’s coaching sessions
- Edinburgh RC – Schools outreach sessions
- Peebles Cycling Club – Girls’ MTB sessions
The Aim
The aim of the funding is simple: to increase female membership at your cycling club. How you choose to design your project is completely up to you!
What’s on Offer
Clubs can apply for up to £1,200 to support activities that attract more female members. We know every club is unique, so this investment is flexible, helping you deliver tailored programmes that reflect the needs of your local area.
Ideas might include:
- Coaching sessions to build confidence and skills
- Taster and confidence-building led rides
- Outreach workshops with schools, community groups, or organisations
We’re keen to hear from clubs who are just beginning to target new female members, as well as those who have already trialled initiatives. Recognising that children and young people are the future of our sport, we are especially interested in supporting projects that create meaningful and accessible cycling opportunities for under-18s.
